Bigs hugs to Gramma....

This card I made for my sweet Gramma.  She lives down in LA and I don't get to see  her nearly as much as I would like.  She just went through a few major surgeries and thankfully is on the mend.  I will get to see her the end of May when I head down there for my cousin's wedding.

I used the Cricut cartridge Country Life.  It's  hard to tell  from the picture but the kitty is covered in a fine glitter.  I use Martha Stewart glitter.  I love them!  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, "Encouraging Thoughts".

Welcome!

I decided to start a separate little blog for my paper crafting and Etsy shop.  I thought perhaps those who want to visit my blog Earthen Vessel  to see my scrapbooking and card making posts won't want to have to wade through all the other posts about our camping, hiking, family life and garden to find those posts.  Although I won't be offended if they visit the original Earthen Vessel blog as well. :)  This blog will be for those looking for paper crafting ideas, and inspiration. It is also linked directly to my  Etsy shop which I will be stocking soon.

Here is the post of the first card I made with Cricut back in December:

I finally had a couple hours today to play with my Cricut.  I felt like a kid who had just opened a toy for Christmas they had always wanted.  :)

I played around with my Campin' Critters cartridge and came up with this little, or should I say BIG, card.  I meant to make a card that was standard size but since I am getting use to sizes on the Cricut it ended up being pretty big.  It's about 6X6.  I like making cute, little cards but I still like this one.

I had to cut out this Big Foot.  I think he's just too funny!  Plus I live in the Northwest and when you live in the Northwest you've got to believe in Big Foot.  I watch ALL the You Tube videos.  ;)  But seriously one has to wonder just a little bit.

I used a CardzTV stamp for the sentiment.  It is from her "Encouraging Thoughts" stamp set.
On the back of the card I used one of my stamps from Norajane.  I love all of her sweet little stamps.
